Tideline Trash And Treasure Art Workshop

Join artist Carmen Haselup at Chapter34 bookshop in Shoreham for a river birds workshop with Knepp Wildland Foundation using trash found on beach clean ups.

The workshop is a joint workshop with Carmen and the Knepp Wildland Foundation to learn about and support the Adur River Recovery project. One of the team from Knepp Wildland Foundation will be joining us and telling us all about the Adur River Recovery project, and sharing some of the creatures that will benefit from this ambitious project.

We will be upstairs at Chapter34 where we will make kingfishers, oystercatchers or your choice of river bird from discarded fishing gear and materials found on Sussex beach cleans. A double whammy; you'll be supporting the Adur Recovery Project and keeping plastic out of the ocean!

No experience needed and all equipment and materials are provided, including a frame for your masterpiece. Please feel free to bring your own clean and dry fishing gear, beach finds or materials that you would like to incorporate into your design.

Ticket price (£25) includes the talk, bird making workshop and refreshments.

Ages 14+
