Adur River Walking Safari

September 27 @ 9:30 am - 11:45 am

This two hour safari will begin with a short introduction about the unique characteristics of this SSSI.

Then we will take to the river banks. Along the journey we will share guidance and knowledge to help you protect and enjoy this place.

We will be joined by birding and wildflower expert Richard Allen of Shoreham District Ornithological Society and local artist Seana Mallen who will share what inspires her art.

These safaris are aimed at:

  • Members of the local public wishing to learn more about the SSSI
  • We especially welcome teachers and group leaders who would like to incorporate the learning into their work.

Important Information

  • The walk is approximately two hours (3.5miles round trip) on flat ground
  • Participation is at own risk and personal insurance is recommended

Booking is essential as spaces are limited

Cost?

These trips are community events and a recommended donation of £10 would be greatly received to help support the work of raising awareness of the river.
